Why We Built This Site
One Montgomery County incident can produce several records under different custodians. A city police department may hold the report, the Montgomery County Jail may hold the booking, and a clerk in downtown Conroe may hold the later case. Felony files belong with the District Clerk inquiry, while Class A and B misdemeanor files belong with the County Clerk inquiry. The Texas Department of Public Safety maintains the statewide criminal-history repository and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Bringing those distinct routes into one reference makes it easier to choose the office that actually created or keeps the desired document.

What We Cannot Do
Montgomery County Criminal History is privately operated. It has no connection to a Texas court, police department, sheriff, clerk, or state agency. These limits apply:
- We cannot retrieve an official criminal record or conduct an official background check
- We cannot issue a certified court copy, jail record, rap sheet, or registry record
- We cannot submit a Texas Public Information Act request or court filing for a visitor
- We cannot give legal advice about a charge, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure order
- We cannot promise that an agency's address, fee, phone number, or process has not changed
An official copy must come from the Montgomery County or Texas office that maintains the original record.
Search Partners
Some search boxes connect to services operated by third parties. Those providers control their own results, prices, policies, and account terms. A paid signup may produce a referral fee that supports this site's operation. Montgomery County Criminal History does not control a partner's records or guarantee the accuracy of its matches. A partner result is not a certified Montgomery County or Texas government record and must not be used for an FCRA-regulated purpose.
